The nine steps

From the counter to your agreement

  1. The business starts your application

On a tablet in the store, by a text or email link, or at an online checkout. The amount is filled in for you.

  2. You read a short consent screen

It names ProLevelUp, which is a product of Galaxian Inc. In plain words, it explains that your application will be shared with financing companies, that their costs can be very different, and how credit checks work. You agree before anything is sent.

  3. You enter your details

Name, address, income, contact details and, where a company needs it, your Social Security number and bank details. Sensitive numbers go straight into a secure vault. ProLevelUp's own staff and systems never see your full Social Security number.

  4. You see the list of companies

Each one is named and marked "soft check" or "full check". You can remove any you do not want. The order cannot be changed; it always runs from lowest to highest typical cost.

  5. You see your offers

Companies that use soft checks are checked together. Every approved offer appears side by side, sorted by the total you will pay. The total is the biggest number on the screen.

  6. Extra care for lease-to-own

If an offer is lease-to-own, you will first see a summary: the cash price, the total you would pay, the difference, and your other choices. The page on lease-to-own explains it in full.

  7. You choose

Accept an offer, save it to decide later, or say no thanks. If you choose a "full check" company, we remind you that it may affect your credit score and ask you to confirm.

  8. You sign with that company

You review and sign their agreement. They pay the business, and you make your payments to them.

  9. Keep track

Your agreements are listed in the customer portal, along with who to contact about each one.

You see the list first

Before your application goes anywhere, you see the whole list of companies. Each one is named and marked "soft check" or "full check". You can remove any company you do not want, and nothing is sent until you say so.

Sample screen for illustration only. Actual offers, terms and costs are set by each provider and depend on your application.

Things a business should never do

  • Fill in your application for you
  • Tell you that you are approved before a company has approved you
  • Quote only a monthly payment without the total
  • Call a lease-to-own agreement a loan

If this happens, please tell us.

Something not right, or need your agreement?

Tell us if a business did any of the things above. To see your agreements and who to contact, sign in to the customer portal.

ProLevelUp is a product of Galaxian Inc. ProLevelUp is a technology platform that connects merchants and their customers with independent financing providers. ProLevelUp is not a lender, does not make credit decisions, and does not collect payments. Financing, lease-to-own and other payment options are offered by third-party providers, which set their own terms, rates and fees. Not all applicants will qualify. Availability varies by state; see Licensing and state availability.

Providers marked "soft check" do not affect your credit score when you check your options. Providers marked "full check" may affect your credit score; ProLevelUp contacts them only if you choose them, after telling you. Accepting an offer may involve a full credit check by that provider.
