Cookie policy
What this site stores in your browser, what each item is for, and how to change your choice whenever you want.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
ProLevelUp is a product of Galaxian Inc. This policy applies to the ProLevelUp website at prolevelup.app and the ProLevelUp services. In this policy, "ProLevelUp", "we", "us" and "our" mean Galaxian Inc.
Please note: this is a draft prepared for review by the company's attorneys. It has not been approved for publication and it is not legal advice.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. The next time you visit, the browser hands it back, so the site can recognise the same browser. Browser storage works the same way, except that the information stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Cookies have a bad name, mostly because of advertising. Some are genuinely needed: a cookie is how this site remembers that you have made a choice about cookies. Others are optional, and on this site they stay off until you say otherwise.
Nothing optional runs before you choose
No non-essential cookie is set on this website before you choose. When you arrive, a banner asks which categories you allow. Until you answer, only the Necessary category runs. Nothing is loaded "to see how it goes", and closing the banner is not read as consent to anything beyond Necessary.
Your answer is stored for 180 days. After that the banner asks again, so a choice you made last year does not follow you forever.
The four categories
These are the four categories the banner names, and what each one means here.
- Necessary. What the site cannot work without: serving the pages, keeping a form submission and its consent record together, remembering your cookie choice, and letting our own staff sign in to the backend. These are always on and cannot be turned off, because switching them off would break the site or lose the proof that you consented to something.
- Functional. Things that make a feature work but are not essential to reading the site. On this site that category covers Google reCAPTCHA v3, which protects the forms from spam, and only when the keys for it have been set.
- Analytics. Counting how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can see which pages help and which do not. On this site that is Google Analytics 4, and only when a Measurement ID has been set.
- Marketing. Advertising, retargeting and audience-building tags. No marketing tag is configured on this website at all. The category exists in the banner so that your choice is recorded, and so that nothing could ever be added later without your consent.
What this site actually stores
This is the complete list. Rows marked "only if enabled" apply only when that feature has been switched on in the backend, which it is not by default.
| Name | Set by | Category | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sx_consent | First party (this site) | Necessary | Remembers your cookie choice, together with the version of the policy you saw and a random consent ID | 180 days |
| Consent log entry | First party (stored on our server, not in your browser) | Necessary | Keeps proof that the choice was made: the consent ID, your choices, the policy version, whether a Global Privacy Control signal was present, the page address, and a one-way hash of your IP address | 24 months |
| aw-preferences (browser storage) | First party; never leaves your browser | Necessary | Remembers the settings you chose in the accessibility preferences widget, such as larger text or reduced motion | Until you clear it |
| _ga and the related Google Analytics cookies | Google — only if a Measurement ID is set | Analytics | Counts visits and page views, and tells one browser from another so that two visits are not counted as one person twice | Up to 2 years; the data is kept 14 months in Google Analytics |
| Google reCAPTCHA v3 | Google — only if the keys are set | Functional | Works out whether a form submission is likely to be from a person or a bot, using your IP address, browser data and interaction signals | Set and expired by Google; see Google's own notice |
| WordPress session cookies | First party | Necessary | Signs our own staff in to the backend. These are never set for a visitor who does not sign in. | Session, or as set at sign-in |
No other cookie, pixel, beacon, fingerprinting script or session-replay tool runs on this site. There is no chat widget, no map embed and no video embed. The fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page sends no font request to another company.
Pages where no advertising tag runs, ever
No advertising or retargeting tag is configured anywhere on this site today. On top of that, a per-page switch keeps analytics and advertising tags off entirely on the pages where a visitor is most likely to be in a difficult moment:
- the customer pages, including how financing works, lease-to-own, your credit and your rights;
- the complaint page and the complaint confirmation page; and
- the customer portal page.
If an advertising tag is ever added to this site, it will be added only through the consent-gated settings, and these pages will stay switched off.
The Global Privacy Control signal
Some browsers and privacy extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which tells a website not to sell or share your personal information.
We honour the GPC signal. If your browser sends it, this site treats it as a choice already made: non-essential cookies stay off unless you later turn them on yourself, and we record in the consent log that the signal was present. You do not have to use the banner as well, and you do not have to write to us.
How to change your choice
Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. It reopens the banner with your current choices shown, and you can change any category and save. The change takes effect at once, and a new consent record is kept so there is a history of what you chose and when.
Turning a category off stops anything new in that category from loading. A cookie already in your browser from an earlier visit is removed where we can remove it; the rest you can clear yourself, as below.
How to clear cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you see and delete cookies, and block them. The setting is usually under privacy or site data:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Delete browsing data.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. On iPhone and iPad, Settings, then Apps, then Safari, then Clear History and Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Two things to expect. Clearing cookies removes sx_consent, so the banner will ask again on your next visit. And blocking all cookies will stop parts of this site, and most other sites, from working properly.
Changes to this policy
When the cookies on this site change — for example if analytics is switched on, or a new tool is added — this page and the banner are updated together, and the policy version in the consent record changes. Where the change needs consent, the banner asks again rather than assuming your earlier answer still applies.
