ProLevelUp is a product of Galaxian Inc. A customer looking at financing is often having a bad day, in a hurry, and standing at someone else's counter. These are the controls we build in so the person applying understands what they are signing and can walk away without pressure.

Controls

Ten things we do on every application

  • Total cost first

Every offer shows the total amount payable as its largest figure, so the real cost is the first thing a customer reads.

  • Lease-to-own warning screen

Before anyone accepts a lease-to-own offer, we show the cash price, the total they would pay and the difference between the two.

  • Save and decide later

A customer can stop, think it over and come back to the same options without filling in a new application.

  • Customers enter their own details

Shop staff cannot complete an application for someone else. The person applying types their own information.

  • Soft check first

Many providers use a soft check that does not affect your credit score. Some require a full credit check, and we tell you before they are contacted.

  • Plain-language consent

Consent is written to be read, not skimmed, and we record the exact text shown for each application.

  • Staff training

Merchant staff are trained before they go live, including a list of things they must never say to a customer about financing.

  • Merchant monitoring

We compare each merchant's lease-to-own share, cancellations and complaints with similar businesses, and act on outliers, up to removing a merchant.

  • Our own complaint line

You do not have to go through the merchant or the provider. Bring a complaint straight to us and we will look into it.

  • No fee to customers, ever

ProLevelUp never charges customers a fee. Providers set their own rates and fees, which are shown before you accept.

Before anyone signs

The screen that slows things down

Before anyone accepts a lease-to-own offer, we show the cash price, the total they would pay and the difference between the two. It takes up the whole screen, and the customer has to read it before they can go on.

Sample screen for illustration only. Actual offers, terms and costs are set by each provider and depend on your application.

About lease-to-own

Lease-to-own is a lease, not a loan. You will not own the item until you make all payments or use an early purchase option. The total cost of a lease-to-own agreement is usually much higher than the cash price. Review the total cost before you sign.

If something went wrong, tell us

You can bring a complaint to us directly, and you can read what you are entitled to at every step.
